Salvation

God loves us and has great plans for each and every one of us.  He loved us so much that He sacrificed Himself to set us free from death.

God loves us and has great plans for each and every one of us.  He loved us so much that He sacrificed Himself to set us free from death.  Therefore, our lives do not belong to us anymore, but belong to Him who died and rose again for us.

However, forgiveness of sins and salvation are only part of what God wants to do in our lives.  The important question is this:  What about now that I have come to believe in Jesus Christ and am saved? Now what? What does God want to do in my life?  How should my life be after salvation?

1) How did we receive salvation?  (Romans 10:9-10)

    Answer:

2) What are we saved from?   (It has already happened, past tense)

  1. Saved from domination of Satan
  2. Saved from domination of the world (eternal death)
  3. Saved from domination of the flesh

     of happening, present tense)

     Romans 8:29 ……………………………………………

     Ephesians 4:13 ……………………………………………

5) Living victoriously on earth

     1) A new life: 2 Corinthians 5:17  …………………………………………………

     2) Receiving power and authority: Acts 1:8 ……………………………………………

     3) A fruitful life: Gal. 5:22 ……………………………………………………………..

     4) Victory over difficulties: 1 John 5:4 …………………………………………………

     5) Victory over Satan: 1 John 4:4 …………………………………………………

     6) Instruments in God’s hand to save others: Matt. 28:19-20 ………………………

6) Personal application

Think about the following questions and then pray about them.

  • Do you want to rule with Jesus in heaven forever?
  • Do you want to live on earth like Jesus: full of power, authority, love and victory?

If your answer to the above questions is “yes” then in prayer submit your life to God; make a commitment to God that you will faithfully attend this class and will be accountable to your teacher.
